Marmol Radziner Prefab (marmolradzinerprefab.com), the award winning architecture and construction firm that creates modular, prefabricated homes, has announced the upcoming installation of a sustainable, modern prefab home, the "Hollywood Hybrid", in the heart of Hollywood, Calif., on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, from 8am to 3pm. The installation event offers unique photo and video opportunities, and highlights the home's low carbon and ecological footprint. The Hollywood Hybrid represents Los Angeles' first prefab home located on the steep slopes of the Hollywood Hills, http://marmolradzinerprefab.com/custom_prefab_homes.php
The luxury prefab home is registered with US Green Building Council for certification under its L.E.E.D. program, upon completion. The award-winning prefab modules are loaded on to flat-bed trucks at the Vernon, Calif.-based prefab factory, transported to Hollywood, and craned into place in a residential neighborhood. The unique prefab home installation event demonstrates how the sleek house, inspired by modernist principals, utilizes energy saving features and how building its modules in a factory can minimize construction waste.
Located in the heart of the heart of Hollywood, the 2,600 sq ft home features three bedrooms, 3.5 baths and 500 sq ft of outdoor decking and pool. The property includes a custom site-built basement level, which offers a foundation upon which the modules are installed, due to the steep downward sloping conditions of the site. Marmol Radziner Prefab Managing Principal Leo Marmol, F.A.I.A, is on hand to discuss details of the Hollywood Hybrid's unique green features.
"We're excited to bring eco-friendly prefab living to the Hollywood Hills," says Marmol Radziner Managing Partner Leo Marmol. "This sustainable prefab home demonstrates you can enjoy high concept modernist design, along with the benefits of green living."
